Series performance, Pieces of Eight will perform Motown, Soul, R & B, and Beach music
with lots of brass!
During this fantastic and energetic outdoor event, a band
plays for a crowd spanning the grass that the Dugas Pavilion overlooks. The
audience can bring their own food and drinks to enjoy, or they can purchase

NWF State Offers
Summer Musical Theatre Workshop for Students

The
Northwest Florida State College Fine & Performing Arts Division will offer
its popular Summer Musical Theatre Workshop (formerly known as Camp Glee) for
youth ages 13 to 21 from June 8 to July 2. Enrollment in the workshop is accepted
April 28 through the first day of class on a space available basis. Enroll in
person at all seven NWF State College locations or by web.
Now
in its 18th year, the program provides youth the opportunity to train with
college faculty in acting, voice, makeup, dance and staging and to perform at
the state-of-the-art facilities of the college's Mattie Kelly Arts Center. No
prior experience is necessary.
The
culmination of the workshop is the production of a mini summer musical. This
year’s production will be the comedy Legally
Blonde, Jr., which will be presented Thursday, July 2 for two free performances at 11
a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Sprint Theater at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center at the
college's Niceville campus, 100 College Blvd. The performances of Legally Blonde, Jr. on July 2 are open to the
public and free of charge.
