At this week’s MKAF Concerts in the Village Summer Concert Series performance, Mr. Big & The Rhythm Sisters will perform Jazz, Motown & Top Hits from the ‘80s!

During this fantastic and energetic outdoor event, a band plays for a crowd spanning the grass that the Dugas Pavilion overlooks. The audience can bring their own food and drinks to enjoy, or they can purchase them on site. Also, be sure to bring lawn chairs or towels to sit on. Come ready for a night of upbeat tunes and a spectacular performance that you won’t forget!

FUN FOR KIDS: August 4-8 is SummerWILD Children’s Summer Camp. Summer goes WILD at HarborWalk Village with Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge. Children in first through sixth grade can spend an exciting week on the Destin Harbor, learning about exotic animals and their natural habitats. Children will get to talk with a marine biologist, do arts and crafts and encounter animals like owls, tortoises, gray foxes and raccoons. They will also get to learn about aquatic life such as dolphins, sharks, seashells and more!

This is an annual SOCKS event geared to reduce the number of cats and kittens in the shelter by finding them new and loving homes to allow more to be saved/brought into the shelter. The adoption fees are drastically reduced and the Thrift Store (located behind the shelter) will have a half-off sale on most of everything. As always, adoptions are FREE for cats five years of age and older. SOCKS has been in operation for more than 20 years. It’s a free roaming, no-kill, nonprofit cat shelter and adoption center.
