The DARK 8^th Annual Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge Haunted House will be held at the old Hard Rock Café location in Destin Commons. Tiptoe through the haunted maze of darkness. The hauntings will take place nightly Oct. 11, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 and 31. Tickets are $10. This is not a haunted house for the faint of heart. Small children are not recommended.

Sacred Heart Guild to Host 4^th Annual Emerald Coast Duck Regatta

The Emerald Coast Duck Regatta will benefit the Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast Guild. On October 11, approximately 4,000 ducks will begin their race across the Lagoon at the Village of Baytowne Wharf. Prizes will be awarded to the owners of the first ducks to cross the finish line, including a $5,000 prize for first place. The pre-registration party will be held at Tommy Bahamas restaurant on Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m. The golf tournament will be held at Kelly Plantation Golf Club in Destin. The event is being held in order to raise vital funds to help feed, clothe and care for the foster children living at The Children’s Neighborhood. Lunch and check-in will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a shot gun start at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 13. The 6^th Annual Charity Golf Tournament Benefiting Children in Crisis will be held at the Fort Walton Beach Golf Course. Lunch will be served at 11 a.m. and shotgun will start at noon. Entry fee is $75 per player and $300 for a team. Drinks, prizes, raffle items, ditty bags, golf shirts and an awards party with hors d’oeuvres are included!
